Goodbye Show :(
Hey everyone!
My boys Grip H and Juan P will be getting together on stage one last time at my favorite local hip-hop gathering on July 31, before they both leave Hawai'i and go their separate ways for awhile. Both are great guys, and you may remember I shot a video for them earlier this year.
While the video is still in the editing process, these cats have stayed busy always on the grind and doing their thing. Shout outs to DJ Bone for always keeping these guys in the spotlight, it is ashamed that I am going to be in New Mexico when this is going down. I wish I could be there, but regardless, I know you guys will deserve a hana hou!

Long Time, No See!!!
What's up everyone!!!
As you know by now it was crazy spring 2009 semester!!! I made it through alive (no thanks to an awful grade in visual effects, but hey we got learn sometime).
However, it is my duty to make sure that this summer is much more jam packed that ever this year.
First order of business was to work on a feature film (crazy right?~?~). anyways, now that said fiasco is out of my way, I am finishing other stuff I have to work on, including organizing all my data. It is quite the task when you are dealing with massive amounts of video let me tell you.
Anyways, I am in another time crunch as it stands, as I am all packed and almost ready to go to China!!! It is going to be insane!!! I am attending the Shanghai International Film Festival where my film short film, "Kleptoholic", will be shown for the first time.
It is a story about a little boy named Jesse who feels neglected; so he steals in hopes that it will provide him with what he wants, only to find that only by completing a real day's work will he find true happiness in another person.
Who knows how it will be received, but I can honestly say that it is the lamest film out of all the ones that it is being screened with. I even received a complimentary commemorative DVD!!! Stoked!!!
Anyways, I have a lot more work still to do, I guess thats the point of this blogspot... However, I shall do my best to keep you all updated if you care to read.

A real blog... cause I'm sick of tweets
Ok
So I am chillin doing my usual pre-crunch time chill sesh and I had to take a moment to reflect on my life and what I am doing right and what I am doing wrong. This is a personal kind of relaxation moment where I have to actually decipher all the things I am doing. Very intense. Lets see if this counts for the Superman Award..... I'll even dance to crappy soldier boy beats if you want me to.
Anyways, Let's put it this way:
1) I work part time at a small TV station - no biggie but it pays. I have a couple hours a week in which I get to help out there, but it is some of the most relaxing parts of my day. Sad that I relax more at work than anywhere else...
2) I am a film student full time in college - so classes are intense. I'm producing a group project with a serious and demanding director and the lists of tasks are insane. However, all in all it is good because a talented group of individuals are relying on me to help them out a lot. So I am trying... a whole lot.
3) I decided to take visual effects this semester because I thought it would be fun - and the class is amazing!!! but I am extremely bad at it. It feels like everyone in the class already knows Maya or they are just ridiculously good at key framing and rotoscoping, or pulling a matte or what ever it is that we do in that class. God help me.
4) I have this sound project I've sort of messed with all semester. It was due a couple hours ago, but I wasn't ready so I missed the deadline. I decided I am going to make it up by doing the extra credit, but that requires me to stop updating you guys and quite frankly myself at this point.
5) I did also conduct a very successful music video shoot with The Perfect Median and that was tight. The online demand for that video is going to be high, so I think it will be shared on here eventually once I get the full thing edited. I'm sorry its so far down the list, but you see what I have to deal with.
6)I gotta get off of here pronto, but you get the idea. Im swamped and its not going to end. I still have to fill out a couple scholarship applications (for which I am a shoo-in ya know as a minority film maker / media enthusiast) and I really want my film from last semester to be accepted into this film festival deal at school... no big, but it really is. I'm gonna try.

whoa there...
while I've been having an off and on last couple of weeks, I have had feelings of greatness marred by utter staggering of reality. I want to be a part of something awesome so I try really hard. It feels like I am doing everything I can, but can I do more? Can I possibly ask myself to try even harder? These kinds of questions have been tearing me apart as of late, but yet I am still here. Trying. At least I am trying.
For what it is worth, I think we are getting somewhere. Progress. Slow but serious. Anyways, production has begun - to say the least.

Ash Wednesday
Yo. I really like Ash Wednesday (today!) for many reasons. While I normally don't go to mass or anything, I decided that I would renew myself and my faith and go this year. I forgot how much it means to me personally. Commitment to something away from myself feels amazing, and I recommend trying it out at least once in your life even if you are not Catholic.
It is all about helping yourself to put into perspective everything that we in our lives are missing, and what is holding us back from fulfillment. Well, I don't have much more to say, but I am going to kick a few more ashes and relax today, because it is time to fast!

Day N Nite - Kid Cudi
Hey guys,
Before I embark on another adventurous weekend in which I will be having massive fun, I figured I would stop my neglect of this lovely blog and leave you all with a really cool video that has been a long time coming... again, one of the best songs of the year. Notice the seamless transitioning between rotoscoping and video. It is very creative... who says my profession has no future?
